Materials your customers can see before they touch them
The biggest difference between two patio roofs often lies in the material: clear glass or an opal multiwall sheet, matt anthracite or gloss white. In the material studio, your customers see that difference – with physically accurate light and a sun that moves across the sky throughout the day.
Material studio
Materials you can see before you touch them.
Glass, multiwall sheets and powder coating are rendered with physically accurate lighting: light, reflections and shadows behave just as they do in real life. Move the sun – this is exactly how your customers experience their materials in the configurator.

Why the way materials are shown shapes buying decisions
Whether a patio roof later feels bright and airy or shady and sheltered depends above all on the roofing. Many prospects only know the difference between glass and clear, opal or tinted multiwall sheets from descriptions. Samples in the showroom help – but only if the customer comes in.
In the 3D configurator, every material is calculated using physically based rendering: glass reflects the sky, multiwall sheets diffuse the light through their chambers, powder coatings show texture and sheen. Because the sun moves, the customer sees how the patio looks in the morning, at midday and in the evening.
Roofing in the material studio

Maximum transparency and the most refined reflections. The sky stays visible.
Clear polycarbonate
16 mm multiwall sheet: bright, light and shatterproof, with softly diffused light.
Opal polycarbonate
Milky white: diffuses the light, prevents glare and screens views.
Smoke polycarbonate
Smoky grey tint: softens harsh light and looks understated and elegant.
Anthracite polycarbonate
Dark tint for more shade on hot days.
Blackline polycarbonate
Clear chambers with jet-black ribs – graphic lines of light and shadow.

Frequently asked questions about the material studio
Can I add my own RAL colours?
Yes. The colour palette follows your range, including the finish (matt, gloss, metallic).
How realistic is the rendering?
Glass, multiwall sheets and powder coatings are lit using physically based rendering, and shadows fall on the surroundings. Screens display colours differently; for the binding colour choice, we still recommend a sample.
Does it also run on older phones?
Yes. The configurator recognises less powerful devices and automatically switches to a lighter view.
